Fun Fact(s): this song is essentially a sequel, or a sister song to "You Terrify Me". The line about my breath becoming carbon refers to my best description (only loosely based in science, obviously... I didn't even TAKE chemistry in school!), of how, while having a panic attack, my breath would start to taste distinctly different due to increased, rapid respiration. "Darkness" refers to my depression. "On" means in this circumstance, "spot on"

Ones once relevant, and always "on", until the silence seeps in and my breath becomes pure carbon. If you can taste it, then it's too late.
