about

This is a silly Tsunami Bomb cover. I think I recorded it for my friend Caitlin since we used to really enjoy the song when we were younger. This is one of the first songs we used to try to play when we were all first learning instruments in middle school. I figured it would be fun to include it here, to break up the sadness a bit.

Original song by Tsunami Bomb.

From Tsunami Bomb's facebook on the song:

" 'Lemonade' was written by Dominic and our first vocalist Kristen...it IS about their experiences in a band, although it's meant to apply to any toxic relationship. It was the very first song Dominic wrote for TB (trying to come up with a song that was easy to learn since there were so many fill-in musicians at that point, and that Oobliette would like) and Kristen helped him with the lyrics and melody.
Plinky would often play shows with Tsunami Bomb, and we all decided to split a 7" record as our collective first release. Plinky recorded their side first, but then they broke up, with their guitarist leaving the band. So it was their first and last release.
Before Tsunami Bomb could record, our first vocalist Kristen left the band to move to Portland, and so Plinky's bassist/vocalist Emily (soon to be known as Agent M) became TB's second standing singer and drummer/vocalist Brian switched to guitar and became TB's first official guitarist (we had been using fill-in's until then).
So by the time we recorded our side of the 7", which became "B-Movie Queens", Plinky had been absorbed into Tsunami Bomb. So Emily sang on both sides of the release.
...and now you know....and knowing is half the battle!"
