This song was recorded in the same week as the demo before it. This is one of my favorite songs that I have ever written and I do intend to re-record it for something in the future. The lyrics are lifted from a poem that I wrote in High School that always stuck with me, (hence the title, I really did read it to the whole sophomore english class!) It always felt like a good closing song, so it finally got to close something. I re-recorded it for “This Changes Everything” but it didn’t seem to fit and wasn’t directly related to the other tracks on the record, and I also preferred this version, but I thought it would have stood out awkwardly with the rest of the tracks from the session. And so it stayed asleep. Until now. Thanks for reading and I hope you have enjoyed!
