This is the Avenues/Chronologically Speaking sister song from “House Fires Of The Modern Age”. This was one of the first songs I wrote and demoed for that record. I remember exactly where I was, what the light looked like coming through the window, and how I felt after I listened back to the demo for the first time. Like avenues, I appreciate the brevity of this song, and how much feeling I can still get out of it. This version isn’t that much different than the final, other than the quality, but I couldn’t not include it.
